About the Episode
What is multi-level marketing? Charlotte discusses MLMs, how they follow such a toxic and immoral business model that only 1% of people make a living from, and some examples including Arbonne, Team Beachbody, and LuLaRoe.
According to Wikipedia: “Multi-level marketing is a controversial marketing strategy for the sale of products or services where the revenue of the MLM company is derived from a non-salaried workforce selling the company’s products/services, while the earnings of the participants are derived from a pyramid-shaped or binary compensation commission system.”
Note: You may have also heard MLMs being called pyramid selling, networking marketing, direct sales, or referral marketing.
